Der Name Gaorii kommt aus dem Sanskrit und bedeutet “die strahlende“ oder “diejenige, die Helligkeit bringt”. Ich erhielt ihn vor ein paar Jahren, in einem Yoga Zentrum in Burkina Faso, wo ich zum ersten Mal mit Meditation und Yoga in Kontakt kam. Seither begleitet mich dieser Name, und auch die wunderbaren Praktiken, die ich dort kennenlernen durfte, in meinem täglichen Leben und schenken mir viel Ruhe und inneren Frieden. Nach meiner Zeit als Entwicklungshelferin entschied mich für einen 3-jährigen Aufenthalt in einem Frauen-Ashram (in Deutschland), in dem ich vieles rund um den Zyklus, die Begleitung von Kindern (vor allem) junge Mädchen, Schwangerschaft und Geburt lernen und anwenden durfte. Die SoulBirth Doula Ausbildung fügte sich wunderbar in meinen Weg und lehrte mich wertvolle Tipps für die Arbeit als Doula. Nachdem ich nun selbst die Reise in die Mutterschaft angetreten habe, begleite ich nun auch andere Frauen auf diesem Weg.
